Cystic Mesothelioma
Cystic mesothelioma is a rare and benign form of mesothelioma. Cystic mesothelioma develops on the thin membrane that lines the abdominal wall and surrounds the organs of the abdomen, otherwise known as the peritoneum.
Cystic mesothelioma can be difficult to diagnosis and most frequently is found in young women. Lengthy analysis and study is usually required. Cystic mesothelioma is not cancer, but it can be quite painful. This rare form of mesothelioma creates cysts inside the abdominal cavity and can recur frequently, despite the fact that it can typically be treated successfully with surgery.
