Benzene

It has been well established that benzene causes cancer in humans. This information is far from new. In fact, the toxic effects of benzene have been known since 1897. In the 1920s, benzene was recognized as a lethal toxin in the workplace. And in 1948, the American Petroleum Institute concluded that the only safe level of exposure to benzene is zero.

At SimmonsCooper, we have been working with clients suffering from diseases caused by occupational exposure for nearly a decade. Our firm was built on one principle: to give clients and their families the care and respect they deserve.

Over the years we have seen first-hand the devastation caused by benzene exposure. And we know that while each case is unique, they all have one thing in common: every client is a person whose life has been destroyed by someone else’s negligence.

As a plaintiff's firm, we have learned that information is one of the most helpful tools we can offer our clients. The links of this page will help you learn about benzene – and what you can do if you have become sick as a result of benzene exposure.

If you believe you have been exposed to benzene, please contact us for a free legal consultation.
