SimmonsCooperAndrew recently gained international attention when they took on George Lucas and Lucasfilm of Star Wars fame. SimmonsCooperAndrew represented the prop designer who made the Stormtrooper helmets and armour for the 1977 Star Wars film. He won a significant victory when the English High Court dismissed Lucasfilm's claims for infringement of English copyright.  This was a victory not just for SimmonsCooperAndrew's client, but for other prop makers, as it clarifies the limits that can be placed on props designed for movies.
